My SL500 is sick, where's the doc

My 1997 SL500 stalls when it has been driven for about 15-20 mins. It will restart after about 3-5mins. What the hell is going on?

Welcome to MS........trust you'll hang around a while ?:)

Possible wiring loom connector/s breaking up inside.
With the engine idling, grab the loom under the hood, and wriggle it around gently..... try in several areas of the loom.

Are there any DTC logged ? have you had it checked at a shop ?

New kid on the block

Thanks for responding to the new kid on the block, I will try the loom tonight. I was also advised to replace the crank sensor located at the rear of the engine. Wish me luck. Thanks again:D

Flywheel crank sensor failure is common..that will cause that problem.

Also the fuel pump can cause the exact same symptoms.
