 My SL500 is sick, where's the doc My 1997 SL500 stalls when it has been driven for about 15-20 mins. It will restart after about 3-5mins.  What the hell is going on?:confused: |

 Welcome to MS........trust you'll hang around a while ?:)  Possible wiring loom connector/s breaking up inside. With the engine idling, grab the loom under the hood, and wriggle it around gently..... try in several areas of the loom. Are there any DTC logged ? have you had it checked at a shop ? . |

 New kid on the block Thanks for responding to the new kid on the block,  I will try the loom tonight.  I was also advised to replace the crank sensor located at the rear of the engine.  Wish me luck.  Thanks again:D  Quote:

 Flywheel crank sensor failure is common..that will cause that problem. Also the fuel pump can cause the exact same symptoms. |
