Aux. Fans

Around what degrees celcius do the auxiliary fans usually come on at? On my 300e, as soon as the temp. rises a little past 80 degrees, the fans go on, but on my e320, it takes the temp. to rise past the 80 degrees and a little more for the fans to turn on...is this normal?

WITHout having the A/C on the 1986-87 300E's aux fan should come on HIGH speed at 100C, on 1988 & later W124 chassis cars the fans are designed to come on at 107C!

OF course with A/C on they should come on LOW speed at 225psi of refrigrant pressure.
