Your best option is H&R lowering springs and Bilstein B8 struts. I've got them on my 95 E420 and I think its prefect.

I think some of the increase in prices of the W123/W124/W126/W201 is part of the Radwood effect. 80's & 90's cars of all kinds are really rising in value over the past few years.

H&R Springs with Bilstein B8 struts is by far my favorite setup for a W124 suspension. Car rides like its on rails compared to stock and I think it looks fantastic too.

I'm going on 9-10 years on the URO windshield seal in my 77 240D and its still in good shape. In full disclosure though the car lives under a cover in the garage and hasn't spent more than 20-30...

The 95 panels will physically fit but they are slightly shorter than the pre-facelift wiper panels. I found that out on my former 300TE.
