WTD: W124 diesel engine-bay pic

Can someone either point me or send me a picture of a W124 diesel engine bay?

I'm wondering if I can utilize the space for the bigger C36 air-box for my C36 engine. I'm thinking I'll have to relocate the windshield washer system (resevoir; electrical; hoses); install the diesel heat-shield for cooler air; etc.

Thanks,
:-) neil

You ask I give it to you.

You might also like to try ebay there are always tons of pics on the cars people are selling.

I like the heat-shield near the air-box.

Now where can I put my washer-resevoir?
Anyone have an idea?

I just don't have the room on the firewall near the intake manifold like the E300D has.

I've seen a washer-resevoir above the ABS unit, but not on a W124 chassis.

Anyone got pictures of the fabled E36, esp. the engine bay?

BTW- Here are two engine-bays.
1) my 1988 360TE: I want to place a less restricive K&N or the C36 airbox in the space of the existing airbox and washer-resevoir, and install the E300D's heat-shield.

2) 1996 C36 engine bay. Note the bigger air-box, and the washer-resevoir over the ABS unit.

Can you run a hose and use the rear reservoir? Sure you'd have to use the dash switch to run the front washer, but how often do you really use it? I've seen pictures of your cars-I bet they don't even get dirty

With a baby on the way, and remodeling the house, the garage doesn't hold both cars anymore.

They are FILTHY, and every morning I have to use the windshield washer to clear off the dust, pollen, and other gunk.

Neil,

I suggest you do a new post, and ask everybody to send in pictures of their washer bottles-they are apparently in so many different configurations, perhaps a bottle from another model will be easier to adapt??
