And you may have to use the "Ctrl" key at the same time for it to actually work. |

the clipboard is just a temporary work area were objects go when you perform a copy operation. hitting print scrn makes a copy of your desktop as a bitmap and puts it on the clipboard. you can then paste it to any application (such as paint) that will accept pasting a bitmap.
-hit print scrn -bring up paint -click on edit, paste |

Aw...Bill beat me to it!:p |
That is it Bill - good job.
There was a Gullwing on ebay not too long ago and I kinda helped myself to the pictures. It makes a pretty unique screen saver and none of the folks I work with have a clue what it is:) - they are used to those bow tie engines. |
whoa where did the thread go?
i posted an image of a pentium processor etching which i thought everyone would know was about Bill Gates - apparently not.
i guess i should ban myself for a week? |

1. Press Print Scrn button. 2. Open Paint 3. Edit paste 4. It will say The image in the clipboard is larger than the bitmap. Would you like the bitmap enlagred? Click Yes. 5. Click Image - from the drop down menu select- Stretch/Scew or press ctrl+W. 6. A window will open- under Stretch change Horizontal and vertical to 40% and click OK.( You can click 50% if you want but the image may be too large to upload) 7. Select the Marquee next to the star on the left hand side and select the picture( your wall paper) Click edit and select copy. 8. Select File new. A pop up window will appear. Select no. 9. Select Edit- paste. A popup windoiw will appear saying The image in the clipboard............. Select Yes. 10. Click File save as 24 Bit map. And you should be done. The image size will be around 370K. I hope this helps. |
