NFL Playoffs
My Steelers have a tough row to hoe this weekend... Anyone here enjoy playoff time?
Picks for the weekend? a little M.S. OD poll? Bears-Panthers (Panthers?) Broncos-Patriots (Pats) Seahawks-Redskins (Seahawks) Colts-Steelers (homer pick... Steelers) I'm not sure that the NFL playoffs are going to be able to compare to this year's marquis bowls, however. All entertaining games. Best of luck to your team! (unless they are the colts, sorry) k

I think your picks are good except the Indy-Pitt game. I don't think Pittsburg can beat Indy. It may be close though Bettis is actually starting to run good. I used to get so annoyed seeing him run. It seemed that if someone just touched him he would go down. If he can put up some yards who know what will happen?
My teams, Giants and Bucs, lost last week anyway so I don't really care now who gets in as long as they play a good game. Danny

Man it's so uninteresting when your team isn't in it.

lol.. just before i posted it, i clicked the link and the dog freaked out and left the room..
![]() i kind of like Colts and Bears in Detroit City.. steelers are tough and have given the colts some major fits over the years.. broncos or patriots are a very tough opponents although the colts have faired way better against the broncos in the past. not really looking past this game right now.. colts have the knack of messing things up.. if bears and hawks meet, that should be one great game too. |

This is as good a set of playoff games as I can remember in a long time. I'm a raving Broncos fan and can't wait for tonight's game. I have a lot of respect for the Pats (and usually root for them in situations where the Broncos are not involved), so I expect a good show. Of course, I'll be crushed if my Broncs don't come out with all cylinders firing ... this year's team is leaps and bounds ahead of recent playoff teams. Best squad since the '98 group. Nothing will ever replace the Elway (and Ed McCaffrey, of course) era, but I've had fun watching Plummer and Co.
Oh yeah, and those other games ... I'll go out on a limb and take the Steelers to upset the Colts. Don't get me wrong, the Colts are a phenominal team. But I think the Steelers are peaking and very driven right now, and I think the Colts are as vulnerable as they've been all year (which doesn't mean that much; they'll still be one heck of an opponent). I just think with Big Ben at full health and that defense on a tear, Pittsburgh is ready for a good grapple. I'll be uncreative and take the Seahawks over the Redskins, and the Bears/Panthers I feel is kind of a draw. I think I'll lean towards the cats simply because the Bears offense doesn't light my fire and Carolina has a pretty all-round team. And I love it when Jake Delhomme is interviewed ... he's somethin' else. Good guy.
