I got 4 P6 about 30,000 miles ago. They warranty for 90,000 miles and the price was right. I fell for it hook. line. and sinker..
Nothing but balance issues, car all over the road when windy.
Last month I got 4 new Michelins, I have always felt if you don't buy Michelins it doesn't matter what you buy. Nothing is as good. I took it on the chin.
Car drives as smooth as silk, great traction and handles almost like a Porsche :-)

Sold the P6 on Craig's list for cheap. A senior citizen needed some tires to go around town to the doctors and the store. They will serve him well. 7/32 tread left on them.

My Pirelli ATRs were amazing, they were silent, gripped in all weather, and channeled water out like no tomorrow (seriously, hitting a couple inches of standing water at 50mph was a breeze).

Unfortunately, they don't sell those in car sizes...

The P6's I have are the same -- I am impressed with their rain/sleet performance; my wheels have not slipped even once. Only issue is balance, or rather a hard/heavy spot that is throwing it off.

I may try road force balancing before giving up. If that smooths things out, I'll keep them.

Driving home this afternoon, I hear a loud slapping sound in the front-left wheel well. Thinking something was stuck to the wheel I pulled over but saw nothing, so I continued home for a closer examination.

While feeling around the tire, I discovered a spaghetti-thick "cord" of tread, approx 9-10" long, had separated, exposing a sliver of steel belt on the extreme inner edge of the tire.

I snipped the cord to stop the slapping and then immediately ordered a pair of Yokohama Advans from TireRack (which I should have done two months ago), and now breathlessly await their arrival.

Thankfully, I have only limited local driving to do between Friday and Monday so I am not too concerned with catastrophic failure. But it does seem true that Pirellis are rubbish.
