Idrive a euro model 2.3-16v and have designed and installed a neat suspension package which I am in the process of testing. An area I would like to modify is the steering. Is there a manual box which would retro fit? I realize that the belt arrange ment would need to be modified, but has anyone done this?

The 16V steering box is about the best M.B. ever offered in a 201 chassis. I've driven euro cars w/o pwr. steering, "Ain't" no fun!! Power steering takes very little HP so why remove it??
I race a 8V 190E & couldn't do without it, just wish it was rack & pinion!
