Well if you have ever seen the "high class" w108 gasser build on Instagram or wherever, that same guy is building a second gen Camaro with m120 power. Should be pretty sweet.

Good luck putting a 6.9 in a front steering MacPherson strut gen 3 f body. May as well just swap the whole w116 front unit body under it!!

Years ago it was my dream to put a 6.3 M100 into my 69 Cougar. When Charles showed me that 6.3 in his garage last year I kind of got a little bonner.

Sorry, I forgot I had this page. Started doing more research and found it again. Since I last posted, alot has happened. I bought a house with a bigger garage so now I have more room to work. I bought several more cars, including some vintage mercedes. I kinda want to install one of these into an old mercedes but havent decided yet. The engine is currently mated to a 6speed nissan manual transmission. The pair are installed in my 91 miata. I'm running megasquirt PRO3 ecu. I still need to do all the wiring and plumbing on the engine. Havent touched the project in several months tho.

Welcome back. Looks like you have been busy. I will tell you its a tight fit in a Mercedes 107. Putting it in a Miata makes the 107 look like Childs play. Very interested in you manual transmission installation.

Thanks. Yea its a tight fit and I'm planning on doing equal length headers on it. The engine is also placed behind the front axle line for weight distribution and to make room for twins in the future. The manual transmission is a cd009 out of a 350Z. I'm using the stock flex plate for the starter. Then I have an adapter to a redrilled Skyline R32 flywheel with a 350z clutch. Later on I will have a custom flywheel made to reduce the number of parts and to make it lighter. I designed the adapter plate and the flywheel adapter and then had them machined at a local shop. If this combo works out I want to put it in one of my W111/W112 or my W108 cars.

Pretty awesome. I do love the idea of a v12 fintail. I've thought long and hard about that one. With the r129 front sump pan it really should fit quite well. No idea how the steering box clearance would be but if the r107 box clears in Sampson I would guess it's probably pretty possible with the right stock parts and easier if you build headers. Definitely following.

Yea Im debating about doing a M156 or a M113k or a M120 swap. I have a w111 coupe and a w112 coupe and two w108's. So maybe one of each.

I know of a guy that put one in a 240Z. He used a Tremec Transmission and fitted the engine with throttle bodies from a Hyabusa.

yea Ive talked to him. I was originally going to use the t56 transmission but those are more expensive and only hold about 600hp. The nissan transmission is around $500 and holds up to 900-1000hp. Im using infinity q45 throttle bodies. I wanted to do the ITB set up but I dont want to cut my hood.
