Well I changed my brake fluid yesterday, and my dad and I checked the suspension everything is tight. The grease in the front bearings still looks new but it is only 15k miles old. Got the front tires balanced to.

I changed the oil today after warming it up on an autobahn type run up to the dealer to get my friend a part. Only 95 or so didn't hit triple digits, I was checking the balance yes..

Tanks full and she is getting detailed as soon as I finish lunch.

I want to be on the road before 6am I don't mind waking up and I like driving in the morning.

Man, I didn't have time to do anything to the SD. Never got a chance to order a hood pad or re-dye some of the carpet. I'll have to at least give it a quick wash though. Pollen accumulation around here is getting crazy! We probably won't be able to stay long before heading to Gettysburg, but I'd like to contribute and bring something along.... tuna or chicken salad? salsa and chips?? Bodhi, you're not alone... my fiancé and I prefer the healthier fare as well.

Also, if anyone is interested in some W123 parts (I no longer have my 300TD), I have some mint power window switches, climate control faceplate and dash cluster. The cluster is mint (needles still orange!) from a 75k mile '78 280e but fits the diesels as well. Cool thing is the gauges are US, not metric (psi instead or bar etc). The switches should fit other early models as well (W107, 116 etc).

You wouldn't happen to have the plastic piece that houses the light in the back of a td and the rear A pillar plastic would you? The part I need is the long piece that goes cross ways on the ceiling in the rear. The host needs them to cherry out my car! Oh...in palamino if possible but any color will work. I can always paint it.

When you all get here pull up into the back yard and line 'em up along the field.

Sounds like a great turnout and I'm sure I won't be the only one with the digital camera.

Cheers,
Bill

Dont worry I got all the parts, just dont have the Car running...

The engine runs like a Swiss Watch, it came from car with 150K on it that was maintained from Day 1 by my Indy..I have the cluster from that smashed car, too.
My Trans is shot.
I Feel like when I was 8 and I used to sit in my dad's car and go 'Vrrrrrm" "Vrooooom" because everyday I turn the engine on 4 or 5 times just to listen to the beauty, misbelieving that the Trans is Dead.

Yeah ... don't expect much from me in the fashion department tomorrow ... being as I have to depart from here at 7 a.m., after being up til 3ish, well, I'm not putting any effort into attire. Going to a be a sweatpants + tee-shirt kind of day, most likely.

I was going to wear my bikini, like most girls you see at car shows, but since it might rain ...

I wish I could go but I would need a lot more advance. Plus I'd need to have my dad get me a hotel room. You guys need to have another one this summer. Then I'd come. My mom has the SDL in Madison till tomorrow night and I have prom tonight. I'm sad I can't go.

Thanks
David

That might be a bit problematic if we teach you how to change that shutoff diaphragm.
