Voltage regulator for alternator; Bosh or Hella?

I've located a Hella brand voltage regulator for around fifteen dollars. The bosh brand is around $47 dollars. Will the Hella work just as well as the Bosh?

Hella should be fine, I'd try it.

Good luck!!!

I rebuilt my bosch with new brushes. I found an eBay listing for the correct brushes and I soldered them in.

I keep a Chinese one in the trunk for emergencies. I think it cost me $7. I did test it and it works. Could be useful in a pinch.

I did the same with great result. The Bosch regulators are of better quality but the brushes are wearable items.

Hella sounds better to me than Bosch. Long ago, Bosch prostituted their name, branding questionable parts from India and China, like injector nozzles and glow plugs.
