Ok, today I was able to get out there and do a little bit of detective work. I looked in coolant tank and no oil, I also pull some out on rag and it was all green.
Dropped down and loosen one cooler line to see what and how would come out it was just a little but all pink.
So please tell what you think of this plan;
Drive car up on some ramps since it’s on the street and drop the pan replace filter and drain converter.
Then refill by a hose connected to each of coolant line 1 with a jug of ATF and one catch pan.
My only question/concern is how much coolant may come out the radiator. rolleyes: Judging by the color and only the mixed stuff (Pink) came out I don’t think it could be a lot. I’m only go to run car long enough to fill tranny then shut off then repeat until it looks better then crawl under drop the pan and repeat. Then put in radiator from another car and give it a go.
I’m going to try to post photos.

Unless it has already been started I would not start it. The rest of the plan sounds good.

Good luck!!!

Drain and fill. Some of the additives are dispersants for moisture. I wouldn’t change the filter right away because it’s a $10-25 waste. Get the fluid changed, then figure out the issue. Can’t be much else imo.

Then prepare to do 3-4 flushes with 2-3 filters.

Well I’ve been able to flush tranny and get the chunks out of pan and now after second flush nothing but fluid, it’s turning more and more red.
I disconnected the cooler lines in the beginning and the wifey turn on and off Alfred as I filled the tranny equally with what was coming out milk jug.

So after two filters and 6 gallons of ATF it’ doing ok, I hooked up a line with 3/8 pipe and have been running up and street while sifting and he seem ok for now.

But during all that nothing ever came out the radiator cooler hoses I thought coolant would car came up to temp after several stop and go runs so as not to overheat tranny, coolant should have come out if there was a split or pin holes…. Right?

I’m still trying to figure out the picture process, so sorry 😞

Coolant out of trans cooler?...Not necessarily as there are significant thermal and pressure changes that occur throughout normal operation. If there was water and/or coolant in the ATF it is a rather safe assumption it was from the transmission cooler in the radiator. If you have a coolant pressure tester you could pressure the cooling system and watch for coolant.

Good luck!!!
