Slightly off-topic, but It's my sincere prayer that business for y'all picks up and that everyone stays healthy. Two of my cars will need tires this year, thinking of going ahead and buying them this month because my tire guy is hemorrhaging business. My W124 needs front control arms... I'd do that myself but I'd rather give him the business.

Almost bought a W115... I agree with your statement on how it handles (even with aging suspension bits).

Right back at ya. Stay well.

I'm glad you discovered Paul Bracq's Stroke 8 secret. I'm yet to drive a better handling Classic Mercedes south of $75K compared to my W115 240D 4 speed manual.

The Bilstein "HD" shock absorbers aren't necessarily "Heavy Duty" in the sense that they LAST longer.... I think they actually just last longer, because they start out MUCH stiffer!! I went with them once, and I won't buy them again. The ride is almost truck-like for quite some time after installation!!

Not sure what went wrong but the ride on my W115 240D is actually much smoother than before installation. It definitely handles firmer and has lost its "sponginess" but I view that as a very good thing.

I did change all subframe mounts at the same time so perhaps that helped?
