Non-turbo 617 Camshaft vs. Turbo 617 Cam

The cam on my 300D is slightly worn, nothing really major just a little worn.

There's a 1983 300SD in my JY with a like new camshaft.

So heres the question, is the valve timing on the turbo diesels the same as the non-turbo's? Is it so different that I would see a decline in HP, or might I see a gain in HP? Has anyone done this before?

Yes I know I will need to use the rocker arms from the turbo diesel if I use the camshaft.

Thanks
