Proper set of valve adjust. wrenches.
I just bought some Hazet valve adjustment wrenches. I bought two sets, one long set and one short set. My question is this: isn't a proper set one of each? One long and one short? I plan on selling the spares after I determine which is most advantageous set to me. Some one please fill me in, I just bought a 123 so have never done an adjustment before one a 617.
I'd prefer to sell the spares to someone here as this forum has been such a help to me. What does a pair of Hazet wrenches go for new?

A combination of long/short will prevent a little knuckle banging. I have used all the possible combinations; I don't have a strong preference for any combination, but two short wrenches would be my last choice by a thin margin.

I thought I got a good buy and was looking for confirmation. I paid $45 each set.

What would be your preference, two longs or one of each?

In your situation, I would go with one of each.

Thats what I'll do then. When they arrive I'll place the other set in the FS section. Is $50 shipped too much?

Well... My uncle ordered a "set" of wrenches for adjusting the valves on an MB diesel back in the 80's. He got them from the dealer. In the kit was two long bent wrenches and a wrench to hold the top of the valve spring. Not sure what the small one is for? Maybe for getting close to the firewall or in tight areas on different cars?
