Went a different way...

On impulse as much as anything but I fell in love with this little thing. I still got the two MB's (the W124 wagon and the SLK) but no Diesel MB, just the F350 Power stroke dually crew.

But... I'll be back! Some day when the taste of the burned up 300D-T gets out of my mouth. Until then I am riding in the little Chilli Pepper S

No Nav.... well... erm... that I can find! This thing has switches and buttons all over. And the original window sheet is missing. So I am having to piece together the options. It does have a lot of them but that one I don't see... I need some resources from 06 to and some time to examine. Not sure what kinda headlights those are but they sure act like something special.

It has triptronic with the fully loaded steering wheel...

The PO traded it in on a Mustang convertible as she was commuting 60 miles round trip Interstate. It has 68K on it.

and he said... let there be mini's

I've been looking at them but I wont get one until I have a real job... or not buy SDLs on impulse. Fun cars, eagle-co94 and his wife picked up a nice mini cooper s with the 6 speed, nav.. everything but heated seats. Its pretty zippy under stock conditions. He put on a borla exhaust and it sounds awesome. They have some other toys to put on but not yet.

do your headlights, like.. flicker on and just... awesomeness.. lol

I like the pre facelift minis... totally sweet.

This one does have heated seats.

Kind of come on like you see the light of a UFO. Bright cool white. No flickering really. I personally dont need Nav in this as its a commuting to work car. I drive 8 miles through a research park from home to work. Nice curves and woods.

Thanks for the link. I am off to study what kinda mess I got myself into!

You're going to have fun with that car! Those little beasts corner like they are on rails. Nice purchase.

Well I think it was. Paid 20K out the door for it. Seems to low trade in for about that according to NADA. Just hope the upkeep is not terrible. I do think I need to do the brake pads and start lining up to have the Timing belt and water pump done.

what year is it? Eagle-Co picked his car up of ebay of all places.. and it was a good experience.

but his is the hard top with sunroof. I like the color.. grey with white top and it came with some added on racing striped. With the right set of wheels you can really set the car off.

I'd say you have the premium headlight package. Pretty sweet eh.

time to get a set of lightweight wheels and some slicks for the auto-X... total go-cart like handling.

I would also try and pickup a spare wheel like the current style you have and keep it at home in case you need it

2006. Good records too. And a extended transferable warranty to 100K and/or 2010 came with it. A decent company one too from what I heard. From what I can tell those are not the stock wheels and I know the two tone leather was an optional expensive one.

I just need to locate a good Indy for it too. Will probably just take it up the arse on the first time just to be sure. But I do have a good brake man so thats taken care of.

The PO was using it for a Commuter for work about 60 miles round trip.

bah... the cars are good. You can do most of it DIY like wheels, exhaust, pulleys, etc

but if you've got a warranty... use it.

BMW service centers can do the work on it

yea the local BMW place is a "Mini Dealer" as they put it. Are not very many of those in each state. In mine only two so its close enough. But I imagine expensive. I will have them do the Timing belt and Water pump though. Just to be sure its covered.

They weigh a ton! They're a solid little car, I sat in/inspected one less than 7 hours ago at the auto show... However, taken a look under the hood yet? I would NOT want to work on it, thats all I can say! You can't even SEE the belts!!! Probably a blast to drive, but I bet repairs are horrifying in that cramped engine compartment.

Convertible, AND red. I hope that is the wife's car.......

Maybe the red thing is a deep seeded desire to resemble a fire truck......
