Is it the strut rod mount?
I have this nasty rattling/thunking going on in the front pass area. I assumed it was the exhaust pipe but I spent 4 hours this morning remounting the whole exhaust system and still rattler/thunk over bumps. The strut rod mount and bushings are the only thing that haven't been replaced. How do I tell if the are shot? I was able to move them with a crowbar.
Suggestions?

They normally show as a thunk when hitting the brakes.

I don't know what else it could be. It sounds like a loose shock, but they aren't.

Have you checked your engine mounts?

I do believe I have the culprit. Loose Caliper. I will check when I get home but I think it means I need a new spindle. If thats the case I think I will be putting ABS spindles on.

Caliper was floppin in the wind, apparently I forgot to bolt it down. One of my spindles has a shot brake bolt hole, probably got wrapped up in getting that one on and forgot about the other. BTW W126 gen2 brake upgrade is a must do. Especially if you need new calipers. I had to do an emergency stop this am that I wouldnt have made with the stockers.
