I'll bet a strait 6 came out of the truck. Nice to drop an L5 diesel in there. Sweet.

The truck was an original L6, but someone had stuck a 318 Mopar in there along with an attempt at putting a Plymouth Volare suspension under it.

What was the problem with the Volare suspension?

Whoever attempted to install it had no idea of how to go about it safely, the frame was so chopped up I decided to cut it in front of the cab mounts and graft on a Lincoln frame clip instead. I admit the truck still doesn't ride like a Town Car, but a lot of that has to do with weight and body mounts.

beginning of this yr I did sold a w123 turbo Dsl to a dude who dropped the engine into something like this, it ran very well as i was told.
