300d,manual trans....Springs???

Hello Gents,

pulled the engine last night, will start rebuild.....Putting a 4 speed from 240d in, but want to avoid the raised front end. Should I use the front springs from the 240d,are they up to the task? Is there a betteralternative?

Also the 240 put a rod through the pan, but rest of car is avail for parts, good tan interior , body fair. PM me if you need some parts.
