Return Line Pressure
Just curious, does anyone know what pressure there is in the injector return lines of a 300d? Thanks,

There's not much pressure in them, which is why they need no clamps.
I'd advise against just cutting off the end to solve a leak. The hose is cheap, even if you go to the MB dealer for it. |

IIRC the return lines are open all of the way to the tank. The only pressure in them would be due to friction, etc.
The cloth covered original lines are cheap and are my preference. I have seen shiny, hard return lines but they look like they will break if you have to work with them. |

I've seen a few junkyard engines with rubber vacuum-type return lines. Most of the time they are as brittle as ford vacuum lines.
