Switchover valve question...
I've been testing the switchover valve on my firewall (the one that controls the pressure from the banjo bolt to the ALDA) and have a question:
When I disconnect that valve and blow into one end of it should the air flow freely through that valve (with the power wire disconnected)? When I blow into one end on mine, it barely gets through, but it does flow... it just feels like it has a restriction in it and I'm wondering just how WELL it should flow when disconnected - do I need a new valve?! Power is ok (0-60 in 15 seconds - 3 measurements) so it's not all that bad, but it made me wonder... MF |
Since the air does not actually "flow" through the valve, even a small orifice should be adequate for pressure "transmission."

I see...
