Is this vacuum tester ok?
I know that cheap tools are not worth the frustration and time spent making them work like "real" tools...
however... im on summer term, had to take less loans(unsubsidized--yuk) and have to repair my shutoff function before monday-- so i looked at sears.com. is this item going to work for me? http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=TOOL&pid=00947058000 they have one for 70 dollars as well: http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=TOOL&pid=00947835000 the metal one looks better and i could prolly swing it, but its a bit more than i wanted to spend on car repairs this term(shlomo will be getting lots of christmas presents, though...)

Yes, this is fine, and the same MityVac many on this forum use. I paid $29.95 for mine at AutoZone last year.

the cheaper one uses a plastic body while the more expensive one is made of pig metal. As long as you don't suck too much brake fluid into it and don't get carb cleaner on it the plastic one will probably last almost as long as the metal one.
