I have a 2000 E320 Wagon, I am going to do a little paint work and here is where the trouble starts. I gave Mercedes my VIN and they said the car was painted "189U "Green Black Metallic" well I didn't think this sounded correct so the second one they said it was is 189 "Emerald Black" Which I assume is Mercedes designation. Napa DuPont paint codes say it is DB189 "Black Opal Pearl Metallic" So I had it scanned and that said it was a royal blue. Well it does have a bit of green metallic in it. Anyway, now I am really confused. Anyone here know what it should be? The code under the hood says 189A C, I assume the "C" is for Clear.
