Dan ,....it's really hard to tell the condition of engine internals . Who knows, ..it could be a pandora box when you open and inspect. Yes, ..these parts normally wears out due to aged and normal use. The best thing to do is to measure the clearances in order to discover if they still within specs, ..and of course, ..anything that is not, ..need to be replace ot re-condition as the case may be...
