Secound, I had my reserve met by the first bidder, a few days later a secound bidder went up a couple of dollars. Two day after that, the secound bidder matches his own bid and is counted as a third bidder.

Lastly, is it me (new guy to Ebay), or does this mean there is something wrong with the Ebay system? What else is going wrong that is not as

transparent?

Hi-I don't think anything wrong is going on in regards to your auction. In the last 5 minutes of the auction, you may see a flurry of last minute bids if a couple guys really want these rims and tires. Could go much higher. One thing I would advise you to do is go and review some of the disclaimer langauge other experienced eBayers put at the bottom of their auctions including the description, guarentee(if any) if not, state this--sold as is. where is ect. I see no option for Money orders-sometimes you limit yourself to buyers if you only accept PayPal. With all the identity theft recently(choicepoint, ect. and past paypal security problems) some old time buyers are Gun shy of credit cards, ect. I would also add a disclaimer " I reserve the right to end this auction at any time, for any reason". I have had buyers email me before the auction ends and ask if I would end an auction if their offer to buy now was sufficient and if it is-you can simply end the auction(following eBay's instructions for ending the auction in their tutorial), as you may feel you have recieved the best price for your item in this manner. I have also done the same for items I wanted to buy. Some take your offer, some don't. In a case as this-end early-I probably would want the money wired asap-immediately--before I ENDED the auction. If you end the auction and the guy does NOT send the money, you are then put in the position of Relisting the item, at YOUR expense. The next buyer down may still want the items and possibly, if the money was right, a deal could be negotiated with that person. I joined eBay in its infancy, early in 1999. Scams were minimal at that time;sadly, many scammers are now using eBay, so you have to be careful these days. I would definetely go and review the disclaimer langauge expereinced eBayer's insert into their auctions(plaurgerize if need be--ha ha) and use their disclaimer as your template. May save a lot of headaches later on. Protect yourself! Your auction looks like its going OK though.
