If you buy a car from a dealer you get nailed with that BS fee. I got stuck with a $275 one, 100% cost covering plus a little profit.
This is pretty funny, but I have a local one. Back in Jan when I was looking for an SDL, I saw one listed in the local paper as mint for $6,500. I called the owner but the paint was shot and he said their was "some" rust. About 4 months later I see this car at the local import shop getting a new head. That sucker was so rusty I could stick my finger through every door. It must have lived in salt water!
The add is still in the paper, he changes it every month or so but it is the same car.
