So far I have only used diesel purge as a convenient way to fill up new "spin-on" fuel filters at the time of change. Someone has correctly pointed out that this causes a dilution of the beneficial effect because plain diesel fuel quickly gets mixed in.
On the other hand, I am running a lot of interstate highway miles on a daily basis, and regularly use Power Service and Red Line DFC additives. Hopefully this reduces the need to run diesel purge.
