Ball stud identification:
Hydraulic - one hex on the body of the part.
Mechanical - two hexes, one (larger) on body, one (smaller-17mm) on stud to adjust.

Rocker arm identification:
Hydraulic & Mechanical - large oil hole in center of ball socket.
