Sixto, yeah you're right; the rear unit is the tuner, just got my nomenclature confused.
So, probably gotta go down to the fader behind the shifter to get the speaker wires, and all the way back to the tuner to get to the antenna control.
Reaching those speaker wiress would be easy, had that stuff off a dozen times at least; wonder if I could rig one of the now-unused wires from the dash unit to the tuner, and hook it up as the antenna signal, saving having to rip out the seats, carpet, etc?
Gonna sit down with the schematic and make a plan; tired of winters with no radio at all. Really tired of digging old tuners out of wrecks and finding the exact same power transistor bad on all of them.
