Whew ~ the car ran pretty well to Las Vegas, my Son and his Wife raced well, I had piles of fun babysitting my extra cute 4 Y.O. Granddaughter then the troubles began.....
I was driving some old broken pavement back rod when the pavement stopped and some time later so did the damned road !
. all the bouncing and shaking broke loose lots of crud from deep in the fuel tank, my fuel filters plugged up and I got stuck in North Las Vegas in a puddle of Diesel fuel changing filters in a hot 40 MPH wind ~ not much fun but I persevered and got it going again , the drive home netter29MPG ~ the very best this car has ever given me .
Several times since I have run it dry and collected very fine silt in the micronic paper element filter I've added between the primary screen and the transfer pump, each time it then runs better for two tank fulls then cruds up again, loping @ idle, shaking and smoking under load
.
Mercedes cheerfully sells the delivery valves, springs and so on, comparing injection pump parts to shock absorbers clearly shows you know little about Auto Repair, Auto parts or Dealers .
The M-B Classic Center sent me O-Rings P/N A 022 997 43 48 instead ofcopper crush washer .
I've been hitting up Partshaus', Hardware Stores Etc. for copper washers to no avail .
I looked at United Diesel Service in El Monte and Lo ! they're and old Vendor of mine from when our Fleet was Detroit Diesel....
I'll jot down the IP's M-B and BOSCH P/N's and try to get there this week...

There is very little you can do to them; and it's pretty much proven that messing with them in the hopes of increasing performance is a dead end. Do yours "leak"? Are you having some issue to which you have come to the conclusion that the delivery valves are "bad"? More information of your issue is needed for the forum to help.
