The engine shocks are fairly useless and a prime example of that "over engineering" that went into these vehicles. You don't need them, they won't stabilize much of anything.
I don't think the euro version even had them?
I still vividly remember that authoritative "shake" that my dad's W123 (and later his diesel W124) would do upon shutdown.
And this was when those cars were new!
