Cool. I appreciate swaps since so much time and thought goes into them. I have pondered what to do if I run out of diesel engines for my W123's. I have a spare 1965 Mopar 273 small-block + tranny w/ fixed output flange like my M-B, so "just because ...". But, like most U.S. engines, the oil pan doesn't drop down at the front like the OM617. I have heard mention of people installing a Chevy small-block in a W123.
