Not to get on my soap box, but this is another example of why it is extremely important to take a Mercedes to a shop that is extremely knowledgeable (factory trained mechanics are the BEST) of our cars. The majority of car shops/oil change places, etc. work on domestics and Mercedes is built and engineered quite differently from a domestic automobile.

Learning how to change the oil is not difficult especially with the resources available on this forum. If you learn to do these basic maintenance items yourself, you never place yourself at risk of getting screwed over by moron mechanics.
