Weird, the GP are still the old style and the primer pump is still the original screw down type. I used the Russian VIN site and everything checks out as a 1979. The AC system looks exactly like the one in my '80. Engine is super clean though, so it might have been worked over at some point and refitted with the R4 system? Still, hoses to/from the cabin look like factory originals but IDK if those hoses on the York systems were different or not.
Also, PO reupholstered, but maintained the stock MBTex/color and "winged" headrests. Everything was stock when I bought it, and even the battery was MB-branded, so it would seem odd that he wouldn't have also kept the AC system stock.
