I use good ole bearing grease however white lithium grease is supposed to work great since it has less of a tendency to migrate away from where it is applied.
Funny though, I just repaired BOTH the rear windows on a coupe today. One had a bad motor. I installed the new motor, tested it and heard a loud POP. The stupid stamped bracket bent. I tried the other side, which didnt work for some reason. It worked twice when i powered it directly and then POP. You know why? Mercedes cut costs. If they welded in a reinforcement this wouldn't have happened however not doing so allows them to make this bracket in one simple stamp.
So i went to the parts coupe and took those same regulator parts off and guess what? It had been reinforced on BOTH and the weld and reinforcement was anodized gold so this must have been a recall (if it was diy it wouldn't have been anodized) seeing as how this car was a year older than the other. I suggest taking the part off both your regulators and taking them to a welder and have them fab a little reinforcement.
