Just a thought, but I thought my new primer pump was leaking on my 123 just like the old one too. Turned out it was the outlet nipple was leaking and just dripping off the same spot. Make sure the inlet and outlet are tight and not leaking. This is assuming the primer pump is similar to the one on my 123.
