Some symptoms of a fuel pump on the way out.

Noisy buzz from pump.

Intermittent fuel starvation - indicated by engine miss or stalling.

Low power.

The fuel system should be pressure tested to diagnose these problems.

If there is a slight leak at the fuel pump area then air could be getting into the system causing low power or rough idling.
