My 93 300E was Starmarked in 1997, and the engine wiring harness wasn't replaced during the billion point inspection.

It went out at 107,000 miles, and the dealer replaced it as a goodwill warranty. The car was purchased there and all of the maintenance was done there.

It still begs the question why they didn't do it in the first place...
