I had a clogged fuel line on a 240D once. I just opened both ends and found a small brush used for cleaning rifel barrells that was the same size as the fuel line and used that.

I fitted it to a steel cable, put a small plastic cap on the end of the cable and pushed it in one end of the fuel line and out the other. I then pulled the cable through, dragging the attached bruch through the line. I did this a few times and a great deal of crud came out.

I also removed the fuel pick-up screen and cleaned it.

It can be done and is a lot easier than you might think.
