Yep 2 and 3. I just replaced my Bekker alarm system with one from the junkyard. First time after 3 years that my alarm is finally working!
If the alarm went off while you were driving, one of the relays most likely failed inside. Do what I did and find the nearest junkyard and steal one from any W124...they are all compatible as far as I know. Cost me $4.99
