This city is ridiculous in the winter. The snow always seems to senak up on the entire region. The power goes out, the roads are an abyss, everybody panics. Why, not two years ago there were water riots becase some over-zealous civil servant accidentally admitted the water might be "turbid" for a few days. people were crawling all over each other for bottled water in the supermarkets. Old women wer thrown to the ground to make room for the fast and the frenzied. Bus service practically shuts down on even the major routes. I personally helped some gal in a vw gti today get unstuck, only to watch her herd her rig into another ridiculous stuck half a klick down the road. She had summer tires on, not even all seasons. the road conditions are: six inches of snow on top of black ice. What the #@$& is wrong with these sick people??? Why is this city so insane???
