The fitting is a flush fitting that requires a needle on your grease gun. Many years ago when I first started driving these cars, I bought one of those very small pistol grip grease guns and a needle attachment. I put the needle on the grease gun and left it on permanently. I have only used it for the door hinges and for the same type grease fittings that are on the special u-joints in my old Ford 4 wheel drive Farm truck.
You can get one of these small grease guns and the needle at most good size parts houses or a farm store.

Is this grease hole present on the W126 as well? Larry does not specify what kind of grease to use? Any recommendations?
