You know what bothers me about winter forecasts?
In my area, if a light dusting of snow is predicted, the grocery stores and hardware stores look like they've been looted.
Everyone goes into a panic/survival mode and the roads get even more congested. It also seems like everyone needs to be on their cell phones during these times too.
I can understand your feelings about sensationalism in the weather reports. Many people get crazy without the media pumping up the drama.
