When I was replacing my eng back in July, I was removing all the
unessary junk before I pulled it to save weight.
I finally had to remove the aluminium mount off the eng. with the
alternator. I could turn the bolt and backed it out of the threaded part.
but that was about it. I even used an impact, soaked it in PB Blaster
for about 3 wks. finally got a smaller bolt and beat the snot out of it, and
finally the bolt slowley come out. there was so much rust on the bolt,
and it made the bolt extra tight.
At the time I didn`t think about using heat.
On one of my trips to PNP I got another mount, and was about to buy
another alternator.
When I got everything bolted back together (with a new bolt) I coated
everything liberally with anti seiz.
I guess since that bolt hangs down so low all the salt and other crap
on the road get thrown in there.

On mine, there is a section of that bolt accessible between the two ears on the alternator. It must be the corrosion on that section which inhibits the bolt from passing through the outer section on its way out. I would clean up that middle section with sandpaper or a wire brush, accessing it's full diameter by turning the bolt if mine was stuck.
