Single blade wiper (W124, 210) removal -- HOW?

I need to replace the wiper blade on my 210 car. Like the 124, it has a single blade wiper system. My 123 car is easy, the two wiper arms open up to 90 degrees from the windshield so you can get at the plastic clip that holds the assembly to the arm.

In the 124 and 210 cars (and others, I suppose) the single arm won't come that far away from the glass. It comes a few inches off of the glass and then snaps into place, so it will stay up to be serviced. I don't want to force it and break something but can't figure out how to release the clip so the assembly will come off of the arm.

The FSM just says "Remove wiper assembly (1) from arm." Clearly, this is something that everyone (except me) was born knowing how to do.

Once I have the assembly off of the arm, I should be able to get the new Bosch blades installed.

I've searched three forums including this one for a DIY. Somewhere I remember seeing pictures of the operation but can't find them tonight.
