This is not what I have in mind but it is on the right track. You know when you have these slow leaks cause by a bad seal somewhere (not purchard) there should be a simple solution.

By the way I am convince fix-a-flat is crap (can I say that) after talking to the technical rep. There is the question I asked them.

1. What is the dry weight of you product? That is in a 16 oz bottle most of it is gas what is the weight whe it dries?
Their answer: Can't tell you. Trade secreat.

2. How long will it take to dry in the tire? Answer: Can't tell you. Trade secreat. Does not realy completely dry in a close enviroment. Does dry sitting out in a open space.
a. Will it dry if the product is in the tire and the tire is deflated and
inflated a few time? Ans: interesting method but don't know?

3. Does the substance solidify when it react with air? Anw. Can't tell you?

4. What is the method for solidify? Reaction with air? Reaction with heat? Is it packed in an inert substance once release solification starts? Anw. Can't tell you?

5. They did finally tell me that their product is not like an adheasive or a two part mixed substance (like epoxy). It solidify by mechanical means.

My conclusion after talking to them. Fix-a-flat BS product. It is like a product packaging oak-meal to put in your radiator. Or a product that package putting that evaporate milk stuff in the tire, and called it enviromentally friendly.

Maybe we should make our own product. Why can't we get a very thin rubber type adheisive that reacts with air or heat put it in the tire (or a two part mix), pump it up with air drive it around for a while and have the entire inside of the tire coated solve problem.

Maybe we should patten this. Oh we can't any more because I just publish this in a public forum, dam. But it does prevent the fix-a-flat people from pattenting it too.

I think I just found a quality place to repair the tire in San Carlo if I really need it. It is suppose to be tire rack apprived and I got a reference form someone on one of these mercedes forums. But we will see.
