All I work with via my shop is big Cat. engine suppliers , they all tell me that U.S. (" cat Pee ") Diesel wears injectors rapidly causing too wide a spray pattern and overfueling , we replace lots of filters and injectors in our fleet .
I'm in L.A. if anyone knows an honest shop I can take 'em to ~ I'd love to watch and see how it goes .

what year? there were no '70 W116 diesels....only the last 3 years...78-80 and they were all turbodiesels.(higher pop pressures)...the same one the W126 300SD got in 1981 and the W123 got after 1982. I'd wait to some west coast guys offer some recomended shops.
